Fishers Community Center Dog Park, Strengthened by IU Health

This brand new off-leash park will offer a safe and fun space for your furry friend to run and play. The nearly 2-acre park will include a dedicated area for small dogs (under 35 lbs) only. Memberships are limited to 300 dogs, so be sure to secure your spot ASAP during open membership periods!

Cost: $72 for 6 months (limit 3 dogs per family)
Vaccination Requirements: Rabies, Bordetella, Parvo, and Distemper (must upload proof)
DNA Testing: Required for each dog ($60 per test)
Humans aged 13 and up are welcome. Children ages 13-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

How big is the park?

What is the cost of membership?

The fee is $72 for 6 months, with a limit of 3 dogs per family

What vaccinations are required?

Dogs must have up-to-date Rabies, Bordetella, Parvo, and Distemper vaccinations. Proof must be uploaded during the application process

Is DNA testing required?

Yes. All dogs must complete a DNA test ($60 per test) to help enforce the park’s clean-up policy

Who can enter the dog park?

Humans aged 13 and up are welcome. Children ages 13-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

How do I sign up?

1. Complete the membership application (enroll only one adult family member)
2. Submit vaccination records (you will receive an email to upload proof)
3. Complete DNA registration (you will receive an email with a link to schedule a swab appointment)
4. Finalize membership (once swabbed, the $72 membership fee will be charged)

What is the clean-up policy?

Owners must pick up after their dogs. If waste is left behind and identified through DNA testing, a $135 fine will be issued

Will there be future enrollment opportunities?

Yes. Dog park memberships open twice a year. There is also a waitlist available to join

What are the dog park’s hours of operation?

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday – Sunday: 5:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
*Closed every Wednesday from 5:00 – 10:00 a.m. for weekly maintenance. In the event of inclement weather, maintenance may be rescheduled to a different day.

What is the weather policy?

Open rain or shine. Use at your own risk

Will there be staffing at the dog park?

The dog park will be monitored periodically by staff for maintenance, spot checks, and membership verification

Are dogs allowed in the Fishers Community Center?

No. Dogs are only allowed outside and in the designated dog park areas

Will there be water stations?

Yes, there will be a water station in each dog area for both humans and dogs

Will there be shaded areas and seating for owners?

Yes, some seating will be available for dog owners, along with shaded areas for added comfort.

How tall is the fence?

5’ tall

Can I leave my dog in the dog park while I utilize the facility?

No, owners must remain in the dog park with their dog(s) at all times
