Insurance-Based Memberships

Many health insurance plans, Medicare supplemental plans, and employer-sponsored plans include wellness benefits that cover the cost of fitness memberships. The Fishers Community Center, Strengthened by IU Health, accepts the following plans:

We recommend contacting your insurance provider or employer in advance to confirm your eligibility. If your plan participates, you can receive an insurance-funded individual Adult Membership with full access to member benefits.

Membership fees are processed directly through the member’s insurance, and no monthly or join fees are paid directly to the Fishers Community Center by the member.

Insurance-Based Membership sign-ups and transfers must be completed in person and may be done at any time during business hours.

Can I switch from a regular membership to an Insurance-Based Membership?

Yes! Current members and Community Pass Holders can be transferred to an Insurance-Based Membership. Charter Members can also transfer to an Insurance-Based Membership and retain their exclusive benefits, apart from free childcare at Action Zone.

Is this membership only available to seniors?

Some of the plans we accept are available to individuals 18 and older, while others may have different age requirements. Please check with your insurance provider or employer for full details and to confirm your eligibility.

How do I know if I qualify?

We suggest reaching out to your insurance provider or employer ahead of time to ensure you are eligible.

Can I be an Insurance-Based Member at multiple facilities?

Coverage varies by plan, so check with your insurance provider for the full details. Many plans allow memberships at multiple facilities.

Do I have to be a Fishers resident?

No. Our Insurance-Based Memberships are available to all eligible individuals, whether you live in Fishers or elsewhere.
