Fishers Community Center FAQs

Is the community center only available to Fishers residents?

No, the center is available to both residents and non-residents. The indoor playground and track are available to all with a Community Pass. The Sahm’s Community Café is also open to the public (no community pass needed).

Paid memberships offer even more amenities, including the aquatics center, fitness center and classes, and sports courts.

What are the hours of operation?

The center opens to the public on Nov. 1.

-Monday – Friday: 5 a.m. – 9 p.m.
-Saturday: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

-Monday – Friday: 9 – 11:45 a.m., 12 – 2:30 p.m., 3 – 5:45 p.m. and 6 – 8:30 p.m.
-Saturday: 9 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. and 1 – 6:30 p.m.
-Sunday: 12 – 5:30 p.m.
*Community Pass required for non-members.

Will the indoor athletic courts host travel sports tournaments, like basketball and volleyball?

No, these courts are intended for community use and will not host large, regional tournaments.

Are group exercise classes included in membership?

Yes, group exercise and indoor cycling classes are included in paid memberships. See schedules.

Can I book the Community Room or Program Room for parties?

We currently do not offer birthday parties in our community and program rooms. Please check out Fishers Parks’ facility and shelter rentals to find a space in one of Fishers’ many parks.

What is the age policy?

The Fishers Community Center welcomes all ages. For safety, children 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (18+) while in the facility. Age guidelines for specific areas include:
Fitness Center – Open to ages 11+. Ages 11-12 require direct adult supervision. EGYM Circuit open to ages 14+.
Pools – Children 12 and under must be supervised by a parent/guardian (18+).
Sauna – Ages 18+ welcome.
Indoor Track – Open to ages 11+. Ages 11-12 require direct adult supervision.
Indoor Playground – For ages 12 and under with direct adult supervision.
Gymnasiums – Open to all. Ages 12 and under require direct adult supervision.
Dog Park – Ages 13+. Under 18 must be accompanied by adult.

How is the center funded?

The Center is estimated to cost $60 million and will be paid for through city-issued bonds following a build-operate-transfer agreement that is slated to end in 2026. City leadership does not anticipate the Fishers City Tax rate to increase as a result of financing this project. The project resolution was presented to the Fishers Finance Committee on June 14 and the Fishers City Council on June 19 for approval.

What will happen to the land south of the property next along the road on the north side of 116th Street?

The land will remain with the Johnson family and is not part of the Community Center project. Specifically, this is the area with several berms along the roadway.

Fishers Health Department Has a New Home!

The Fishers Health Department (FHD) is open on the first floor of the Fishers Community Center. The FHD team welcomes patients to the new clinic for flu and COVID vaccinations, testing, and other health services.
